12 Years Old!

Grrr....some days it seems harder than others. Stasia is almost 12. Only another 2months. I can remember how I felt and boy is it difficult being on the parent side of things. She is such a good kid that when she gives me grief it stresses me out!!!
Anyway, I thought I would just complane to someone out there who knows what it is like.
Thanks

Envious!

OK, so I have this friend. For one she lives way to far away from me, and two she is the best sewer I know. I think she is just amazing. Over the years I have seen her projects and wish I had the ability to sew half as good as her.
I have a really good machine, but it just sits and collects dust. I have to admit I am to intimidated to even buy a pattern. Maybe one day she will be able to teach me. That would be so wonderful. So for now I will just have to admire her work.

On to something different. Stasia has to start the adult class for Karate, and be a sampai for the kids class. She is so excited. Anyway, I figured since I have to be in late now anyway, I am going to join! I am a little scared, but excited too! We start on Friday.

Have a good day.

Valentines Day cont.....

What a nice day we had. My hunny and my daughter went out together and they came home with chocolates and the biggest arrangement of flowers I have seen in a long time. They are beautiful and smell even better. Oh how I love fresh flowers. The roses smell so sweet.
After, we ate a huge plate of spaghetti and meatballs (home made) and Stasia's was vegetarian, we all watched a family movie. A perfect end to a nice day.
I hope everyone else had a good Valentines.
Enjoy your day!

Origami

OK, have you ever tried to make origami ? Well Stasia and I did and I found out that I am not very good at it. Usually I am quite crafty, but not at this. Stasia found a site that shows you step-by-step how to make different things. Well we started by trying to make a boat, and let's just say mine turned out as a rock (because I crumpled it up after trying and trying). Stasia's was not better. So we moved on to a simple butterfly and we figured that out. Hurray success! Well then we tried to make a water balloon. Stasia's worked out beautifully, and mine...yup another rock! Anyway after trying a few different things I eventually had my butterfly and a frog. Stasia is obviously much better at following directions than myself, because she had a whole arm full of animals and balloons when we were done. Next time I think I will choose the craft.

Never Anything new!

Well it has been a while since I posted anything, and I still have nothing new to share. That really is sad! I suppose that is why I never had a blog before. Some times it makes me realize how boring my life is. There are so many things that I want to do, but never seem to get around to doing them. Anyway, blah blah blah. So since I have nothing to talk about, I will just tell you how my daughter is doing.
Stasia is amazing! I really wish I had a camera so I could show every one how beautiful she is. Anyway she does keep me busy. We have to do a bit of traveling through the Okanagan over the next two months. She is training to go to a Karate tournament in Vancouver. I am so proud of her. Also she is moving into the adult class, because there is not really anything else the children's class can teach her, which means later nights (oh well). She will be learning to use a bow. How exciting! She is working on getting her blue belt and becoming a Sampai. Hopefully that will happen this year for her. After that she only has brown and then she is a black belt! Again, I am so proud of her. She has committed her self to this since she was six years old. She will be twelve on May 1. Wow!
Something else...it is so foggy here today, I mean I can not even see the house across the street. If feels eery. I also wok up with a bad sinus cold. Grrr..I hate that. Anyway, I do have to still go to work to day, so since I seem to be in slow mode I should start getting ready now.
Have a great day everyone.
